Wiki's

"A wiki is a page or collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified markup language. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites" (Wikipedia).

I think wikis are a very different way of accessing information today. You can learn new things as well as post other information that you may have on the specific topic.

I have used a Wiki once before, and found it simple to use. I was in a class last semester that required us to post on the course Wiki weekly. I didn't mind using it and would use one again. The only problem I seemed to have found while using a Wiki is that if you are not familiar with a particular one, you may be receiving information that, may not be completely true, for example Wikipedia. Businesses may benefit from Wikis, because they could give all employees opportunities to communicate with the firm, as well as receive information from other colleagues.
